Oregon OLCC Service Permit | Online Alcohol Server Training

Get your OLCC service permit before your first shift

Anyone who sells, serves, mixes, or supervises alcohol service at a licensed Oregon establishment needs an OLCC service permit, issued by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission under Chapter 471, the Oregon Liquor Control Act. This OLCC-approved course covers the alcohol server education you need to apply, fully online and self-paced.

What you will learn, and a 2025 change to know

You will learn Oregon alcohol law, ID checks, recognizing visible intoxication, and refusing service without escalation. One important update: as of March 31, 2025 under House Bill 4138, Oregon eliminated the old temporary-permit window. You now have to complete the course, submit your application, and pass the OLCC exam before you can legally serve. The permit is valid for five years, after which you take an approved course again and reapply. If you also work in food service, you will need a separate food handler card within 30 days of hire.

Built for teams

That rule change makes onboarding lead time real. Build training into hiring with a company account, assign and track it, and keep the same team moving through your product courses on one platform.
