Online active shooter response training for any workplace. Developed with a board-certified security expert and FBI resources, it prepares employees to recognize warning signs, respond, and work with first responders.

Active Shooter Response Training

Preparing for an active shooter event is one of the hardest but most important parts of any workplace emergency plan. These events are unpredictable and, sadly, have become more frequent in recent years, which is why preparation matters long before anything ever happens. This online course gives your whole team a calm, practical framework for recognizing risk and responding under pressure. It was developed in consultation with Michael S. D'Angelo, a board-certified security consultant and former Captain of the City of South Miami Police Department, drawing on FBI resources and analysis of real incidents across many different settings.

What you'll learn

  • How to identify and respond to the warning signs of a potential active shooter

  • The response options available to you during an incident

  • How to cooperate with emergency responders when they arrive on the scene

  • How to manage the psychological impact an event can have across your organization

  • How this training strengthens your broader emergency response and preparedness plan

How the course works

The course is online and self-paced, so every employee can complete it on their own schedule from any device, and managers can assign it across the organization from the Learn Brands dashboard to set a consistent standard of preparedness.
