Get trained in safe and compliant retail sales
Selling regulated products comes with real risks, including violations that can lead to fines, imprisonment, suspension of your license, increased insurance costs, and even business closure. Compliance issues and preventable mistakes are one of the most common reasons regulated retailers are fined, lose their license, and get shut down.
The Sell-SMaRT™ Responsible Vendor Program helps protect you and your operation by teaching you and your team how to sell safely and compliantly to customers, plus how to handle the complex situations that arise in a regulated retail operation.
Designed for sales consultants, owners, retail managers, frontline retail staff, regulators, and people looking to enter regulated retail, this comprehensive Responsible Vendor Program will inspire you to know the rules and move the industry forward with integrity, professionalism, and compliance.

Why Sell-SMaRT
Sell-SMaRT was created in 2014 by Maureen McNamara of Cannabis Trainers, and was the first responsible vendor program in the United States approved by both a state enforcement division and a state health department. McNamara built it on decades of food safety and responsible alcohol service training, which is why it plays as practical floor training rather than regulatory recitation. More than 18,000 Sell-SMaRT certificates have been issued to date, and Cannabis Trainers has secured approval for specialized Sell-SMaRT tracks in a number of states, with a general program covering the rest.
